Hands rescues a draw in dying seconds.

Barnaby Hands scored with almost the last kick of the match to grab Senya a 1-1 draw with Pambia in Reepham.

The Senyans got off to a good start against the team whom they beat 6-2 back in may, but with the absence of several players, including Jack Stables, they struggled to find rhythm. Shane Mills and Barnaby Hands had the pick of the opening chances for Senya, but both couldn’t find the target. Just before half-time, Edward Hunt gave away a free-kick but played on despite the referee ordering him to stop play. Hands then attempted to retrieve the ball but the two ended up fighting. Both Hunt and Hands were booked, and at half-time in the 25 minutes each-way tie it was goalless.

The second half started brightly, and Pambia took the lead on 31 minutes when Alex Hobbs flicked the ball onto Ben Ferenczy, who promptly hit the ball beyond the Senyan goalkeeper. After that, Senya looked the more likely to score, and when Shane Mills broke down the wing with 5 minutes left, everyone thought that Senya would draw level. But instead he was tackled which led to a corner kick, from which Pambia cleared. One minute of added time was signalled with Pambia 1-0 up. But Senya drew level with a fantastic team goal. Stewart Miller overhead kicked the ball onto James Hutcheson, who then passed to Ryan Fultcher, who in turn played a through ball to Hands. Hands then took it past 6 Pambian players with a series of Cruyff turns before sliding the ball into the bottom left hand corner to draw Senya back onto level terms. The game ended 1-1.
