Reflection of another year – and a happy birthday to you!

As 2011 draws to a close, It would only be fit and proper of me to reflect upon the year. As we all know, the year didn’t get off to a good start, when only in January, did a sudden earthquake hit New Zealand’s South Island, which caused many innocent lives to be lost, and Zealandian leader King Anthony to loose contact with the community for a few days, which did cause a few “Is Anthony dead” worries. But luckily he survived. The next event that I can come onto is the Second Handspuppet Scandal, when Senya was expelled from the OAM, MicroWiki, and then found out for sockuppeting with such nations as Azteca and Risoul (the latter was actually a French ski resourt which Barnaby Hands visited in December 2010, where he created Azteca).

Throughout the next couple of months, Senya only kept contact with the MW community through the OAM Forums, Facebook, and Dallingrad. In May, Senya returned to MicroWiki after negotiations with then-admin Aldrich Lucas. After this, Senya became more involved with the community, reaching 17th on the last couple of influence surveys. Then, in early september, came the Yablokogate scandal, in which Senya embargoed both TASPAC and Tiana, and attempted to take the side of St.Charlie. However. Hands’ views were seen as too extreme, and was dismissed. Throughout the following months, Senya has been rebuilding itself.

Now, tommorrow is a very special day in the Senyan calander. It is President’s Day, which means December 13 is the birthday of Mr. Hands. He expects a card from everyone on MicroWiki.

Senya has announced that it will announce the results of its national awards soon.

  1. And don’t forget about Wyvern! Our most important event of the year, as every year, happens a few hours before the year is over. We’ll have lots of fireworks and a nice strawman war. 😀

  2. Jovak Helm says:

    Dear Most Honorable President Hands,

We are writing as representatives of the micronation of Jovak Helm in response to a suggestion of alliance made by Senya about one year ago. Sorry for the tardy response, but we haven’t been involved in OAM for awhile, and only became aware that a request had been made today. We’re honored and flattered, but in conducting research on our potential friends (you), we could not help but notice the scandals that have dogged your administration. This is by no means disqualification for an alliance or informal friendship, which we would still desire; however, we would like some clarification on precisely what transpired. Jovak Helm’s leadership, and our over 40 citizens, would like to hear in your own words why Senya, (which rhymes with Kenya, a nation in Africa, or so we hear) has become shunned by some micronational organizations. Again, we’re still open to alliance, just a little hesitant.

We liked your youtube videos, by the way. Very passionate.

We look forward to future relations with you. Email us at jovak.helm@gmail.com

    Sincerely,
    Minister of Diplomacy, Alex R
    Co-Consuls, Julian D and Max W
